Biography
Barbara Lott (1920–2002) was a British actress. The daughter of William Lott, who managed Ealing Studios, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made her stage debut in 1944. Her first television appearance was in 1950.
She is best known for her later television roles, including Mrs Bennett in Rings on Their Fingers (1978–1980), Phyllis Lumsden, the mother of Ronnie Corbett’s character, in Sorry! (1981–1988), and Auntie Pearl in 2point4 Children (1992–1996). She also appeared in films such as Unman, Wittering and Zigo (1971) and as Jerome’s mother in Peter Greenaway’s The Pillow Book (1996).
Lott was married to television producer Stuart Latham from 1940 until his death in 1993.
