Biography
Barry Sullivan (1912–1994) was an American actor of film, television and theatre. Born Patrick Barry Sullivan in New York City, he made his Broadway debut in 1936 and appeared in over 100 films from the 1940s onwards.
He played the film director Fred Amiel in The Bad and the Beautiful (1952) and appeared in The Great Gatsby (1949). Sullivan starred in the television series Harbormaster (1957–1958) and The Tall Man (1960–1962), and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his performance in the 1955 teleplay The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.
