Biography
Basil Keane was a Jamaican actor. He played the Preacher in the 1972 film The Harder They Come, directed by Perry Henzell.
He also appeared in The Marijuana Affair (1975) and as Colonel Sinclair in Countryman (1982). A graduate of Howard University, Keane worked as a dentist and politician; he served as a councillor for the Jamaica Labour Party. He died in 1993.
