Biography
Beau Sia is an American actor and slam poet. He was born on 6 February 1976 in Ohio.
Sia trained at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He first gained attention through poetry slams, including as a member of the 1996 Nuyorican Poets Cafe National Poetry Slam team featured in the documentary SlamNation (1998). He appeared on Broadway in Def Poetry Jam (2003), for which he won a Tony Award.
His film roles include the Wedding Czar in Rachel Getting Married (2008), a drugstore clerk in Hitch (2005), a late-night comedian in The Manchurian Candidate (2004), Cicero in Murder Party (2007), and Desmond in Ricki and the Flash (2015).
