Biography
Becki Newton is an American actress. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she grew up in Guilford and studied European History at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation she moved to New York City, where she appeared in television commercials before taking guest roles in series including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Cold Case.
Newton is known for playing Amanda Tanen in the comedy-drama series Ugly Betty (2006–2010) and Quinn Garvey in How I Met Your Mother (2012–2013). She has also appeared in The Lincoln Lawyer (2022) as Lorna Crane and in films such as August Rush (2007). She is married to actor Chris Diamantopoulos.
