Biography
Becky Sloan, also credited as Rebecca Sloan, is a British filmmaker, writer, director, animator and puppet maker. She studied fine art and animation at Kingston University, where she met frequent collaborator Joseph Pelling.
Sloan is best known as co-creator, writer and director of the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared web series (2011–2016) and its 2022 television adaptation, both made with Pelling and later Baker Terry. She wrote one episode of The Amazing World of Gumball (2017) and provided a voice for it. She has also directed music videos and commercials.
The 2022 series won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for production design.
