Belmont Cameli

At a kitchen table in Off Campus (2026), Belmont Cameli makes Garrett Graham's confidence look like something he has never needed to question. He plays the hockey player as a boy used to getting his way, and becomes more interesting when Ella Bright's Hannah refuses to oblige. We like him best here, when the charm stops being enough and he has to pay attention. It is a promising performance in a series that gives its central couple rather too much time.

Saved by the Bell (2020–2021) gave him his first series-regular role as Jamie Spano, before he played Eli in Along for the Ride (2022). The casting has often favoured athletic, charismatic young men. The Alto Knights (2025) brought work with Barry Levinson in a crime drama. With Garrett, he has a lead that suits that established appeal and gives him something less obvious to do.

That something is listening. Bright gives Hannah a guardedness that Cameli has to respect, and their tutoring scenes work because he cannot simply charm the argument away. We were moved by the way he listened to her in a private conversation, without reaching for her. The restraint matters because Garrett has seemed so accustomed to being indulged.

The writing does not always repay that care. The couple's conversations have more charge than their lengthy sex scenes, and the eight episodes stretch material that needed a stricter edit. Stephen Kalyn's Dean supplies most of the laughs, so Cameli is not carrying the house's lighter scenes by himself.
