Biography
Ben Bernhard is a German cinematographer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Camera and a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB). In 2014 he received a scholarship at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles.
Since 2009 Bernhard has collaborated extensively with director Viktor Kossakovsky on projects including the documentary Aquarela (2018). He served as one of the cinematographers on All That Breathes (2022), directed by Shaunak Sen. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature, and Bernhard shared awards for cinematography from the American Society of Cinematographers, Doc NYC and Cinema Eye Honors.
