Biography
Bernard Blier was a French character actor. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he trained at the Paris Conservatory and began appearing in films and on stage in the late 1930s.
He is known for roles including Gaston in Daybreak (1939), Maurice Martineau in Jenny Lamour (1947), Colonel Bernard Milan in The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972), and Inspecteur Morvandieu in Buffet Froid (1979). Blier appeared in films by his son, director Bertrand Blier, and received an Honorary César in 1989.
