Biography
Bill Nye is an American science communicator, television presenter and former mechanical engineer. He is best known as the host of the children's science series Bill Nye the Science Guy (1993–1998).
Nye has appeared as himself or in voice roles in numerous television series and films, including The Big Bang Theory (2013–2018), Futurama (2023–2025), Mank (2020) as Upton Sinclair, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie (2026) as Dr. Theo Rising (voice). He serves as CEO of The Planetary Society.
Born in Washington, District of Columbia, Nye studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University and worked as an engineer before turning to science education and comedy.
