Biography
Billy Frolick is an American screenwriter and director. Born on 12 February 1959 in Long Island, New York, he graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
He received a story credit on the DreamWorks Animation film Madagascar (2005). His other screenwriting credits include PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), The Big Trip (2019) and Monster Island (2017). He also directed the independent feature It Is What It Is (2001).
Frolick has written several books, including the memoir What I Really Want to Do Is Direct (1996) and the parody Downtrodden Abbey (2013). Earlier in his career he worked as a journalist, contributing to Premiere, The New Yorker and other publications.
