Biography
Billy Gray (born William Thomas Gray) is an American actor. He was born on 13 January 1938 in Los Angeles, California, and began acting as a child. His mother, Beatrice Gray, was also an actress.
Gray played Bobby Benson in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951). He is best known for his role as Bud Anderson in the television series Father Knows Best (1954–1960), for which he received an Emmy nomination. Other film credits include On Moonlight Bay (1951), By the Light of the Silvery Moon (1953) and All I Desire (1953).
After his acting career slowed, Gray worked as a competitive motorcycle racer, inventor and businessman.
