Biography

Billy Hamon is a British actor and television writer. Born on 29 September 1948 in Brighton, East Sussex, England, he began his career as an actor in the 1960s.

His acting credits include the role of Planchet in the television series The Three Musketeers (1966–1967), appearances in Please Sir! (1968–1971), Tales of the Unexpected (1979) as Bryan Sabotier, Minder (1984) and numerous other British television dramas and series through the 1980s.

From the mid-1980s he also worked as a writer, contributing episodes to EastEnders (1985–1996), Casualty (1987–1996), Boon (1987) and Soldier Soldier (1992–1997). In 1985 he received the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright for his play The Grafters.
