Biography
Billy Joel, also credited as William Martin Joel, is an American musician, singer-songwriter and composer. He voiced the character Dodger in the 1988 animated film Oliver & Company and has appeared as himself in television series including Mad About You (1992) and Kevin Can Wait (2016).
Born in New York City, Joel began his solo recording career in the 1970s. His work includes twelve studio albums released between 1971 and 1993, with a further studio album in 2001. Archive recordings of his voice feature in the 2023 short Once Upon a Studio and the 2024 documentary The Greatest Night in Pop.
