Biography
Blair Smith (also credited as James Blair Smith) was an American cinematographer active in the early years of the motion picture industry. He was born on 2 July 1859 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Smith worked primarily for the Edison Manufacturing Company, operating the camera on numerous short films. His credits include additional camera on The Great Train Robbery (1903) and camera work on titles such as New York Harbor Police Boat Patrol Capturing Pirates (1903) and several 1910 shorts including Daddy's Double, St. Elmo and A 29-Cent Robbery. He died before 1923.
