Biography
Bleuette Bernon, born Léontine Ernestine Gauché, was a French actress and singer. She appeared in several early films directed by Georges Méliès between 1899 and 1910, including Cinderella (1899) as the fairy godmother, Joan of Arc (1900), Bluebeard (1901) as the fairy, A Trip to the Moon (1902) as Phoebe, and The Kingdom of the Fairies (1903) as Aurora.
She began her career as a cabaret performer in Paris before working with Méliès. Bernon was the mother of actress Marianne Cantrelle and grandmother of actress Jacqueline Cantrelle.
