Biography
Bo Christensen (24 August 1937 – 11 April 2020) was a Danish film producer and production manager. Born in Frederiksberg, he began his career in the late 1950s at Nordisk Film, working as an assistant director and later as a production manager and producer on numerous films and television series.
He produced or co-produced more than 60 films, including most of the Olsen Gang series from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, the television series Matador (1978–1982), and Europa (1991). Christensen served as producer on Babette's Feast (1987), directed by Gabriel Axel, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and a BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language.
He held senior roles at Nordisk Film and later at the Danish Film Institute, and was married to actress Kirsten Hansen-Møller.
