Biography
Bob Barlen is a Canadian screenwriter and producer. He graduated from Ryerson University and attended the Directors' Lab at the Canadian Film Centre.
He has collaborated frequently with director Cal Brunker on animated features. Their joint credits include the screenplays for PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023) and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie (2026). Barlen has also written for Escape from Planet Earth (2013), The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature (2017), The Son of Bigfoot (2017), Bigfoot Family (2020) and other films, and serves as associate producer on the PAW Patrol features.
