Biography
Bob Dolman is a Canadian screenwriter, director, producer and actor. He began his career writing for television series including WKRP in Cincinnati and SCTV, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award in 1982.
His film credits include the screenplay for Willow (1988) and both the screenplay and story for Far and Away (1992), on which he also served as producer and appeared as an actor. He made his directorial debut with The Banger Sisters (2002), which he also wrote, and directed How to Eat Fried Worms (2006). Dolman returned to the Willow franchise as writer and producer on the 2022 Disney+ series.
Dolman was raised on Vancouver Island and is the brother of actress Nancy Dolman, who was married to Martin Short. His son Jack Dolman works as a sound and music editor.
