Biography
Bonaventura Ibáñez (also known as Buenaventura Ibáñez or Ventura Ibáñez) was a Spanish film actor of the silent and early sound eras. Born in Barcelona on 18 February 1876, he began his career as a pantomime performer before entering cinema in 1909. He worked extensively in Italy and later in France, appearing in more than eighty films.
He is credited as the Marquis of X in Luis Buñuel's L'Âge d'or (1930). His film career spanned until 1931. Ibáñez died in Barcelona on 1 May 1932.
