Biography
Boris Baromykin (1941–2024) was a Czech cinematographer, director and photographer. He trained at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) from 1959 to 1964.
He is best known for his cinematography on the animated feature Fantastic Planet (1973), directed by René Laloux, on which he worked alongside Lubomír Rejthar. His other credits include the short Jabberwocky (1971) and several Czech shorts on which he served as cinematographer, director or both. Baromykin received the City of Třebíč Award in 2021.
