Biography
Boris Kokovkin was a Soviet actor who worked in theatre and film. He appeared in Leningrad theatres including the Bolshoi Dramatic Theatre, the new TYUZ and the Academic Dramatic Theatre named after V. F. Komissarzhevskaya.
His film debut was as the painter Valentin Serov in Rimsky-Korsakov (1953). He is credited as Nikolay Chernov in The Cranes Are Flying (1957) and as a member of the examination commission in Old Man Khottabych (1956, also known as The Flying Carpet). Other film roles include parts in A Big Family (1954) and Dva kapitana (1956). He died in 1985.
