Biography
Brandon Sonnier is an American writer, producer and director. He was born on 27 April 1982 in Houston, Texas.
Sonnier wrote, produced and directed the feature film The Beat (2003), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He began his television career through NBCUniversal’s Writers on the Verge programme and worked on The Blacklist (2013–2017) as a writer, teleplay writer, story editor and producer. He has also written for S.W.A.T. (2017) and co-created L.A.’s Finest (2019) with Brandon Margolis, serving as writer and executive producer.
His other credits include writing and directing episodes of Alert: Missing Persons Unit (2023) and creating the series Boston Blue (2025).
