Biography
Brandon Victor Dixon (born 23 September 1981) is an American actor, singer and theatrical producer. He originated the roles of Harpo in the 2005 Broadway musical The Color Purple and Berry Gordy Jr. in Motown: The Musical (2013), and played Eubie Blake in Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed (2016). He later assumed the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway production of Hamilton.
Dixon played Hayward Patterson in The Scottsboro Boys both off-Broadway and in London's West End. As a producer, his credits include the Broadway revivals Of Mice and Men (2014) and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2014), the latter of which won the Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for best revival of a musical. In 2018 he portrayed Judas Iscariot in the NBC live concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar, receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination. He appeared as Daniel in the 2019 series Modern Love.
