Biography
Brett Thornquest is an Australian film producer and specialist in production incentives and tax advisory for film and television. He is the founder and director of the Contrarian Group, having previously held a senior role at the Moneypenny Group from 2000 to 2008.
He began his career as a production accountant on films including The Proposition (2005). Thornquest has produced or co-produced a number of Australian features, among them Infini (2015), Terminus (2015), Science Fiction Volume One: The Osiris Child (2016), Better Watch Out (2017), Blood Vessel (2020) and Bloody Hell (2020). He is an executive producer on the forthcoming Beast (2026).
