Biography
Bruce Langhorne was an American folk musician and film composer. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, he became a prominent session guitarist in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the 1960s, performing and recording with artists including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Richie Havens and Judy Collins.
He composed the score for the 1971 western The Hired Hand, directed by and starring Peter Fonda. Langhorne also provided music for other films including Stay Hungry (1976), Melvin and Howard (1980) and Night Warning (1982).
In later years he founded Brother Bru-Bru's African Hot Sauce company. Langhorne died in Venice, California, in 2017.
