Biography
Bruce McDonald is a Canadian film and television director, writer and producer. Born on 28 May 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, he graduated from the film programme at Ryerson University and rose to prominence in the 1980s as part of the Toronto New Wave of filmmakers.
His feature films include the cult road movie Roadkill (1989), the mockumentary Hard Core Logo (1996) and the horror film Pontypool (2008). He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including FROM (2022), Reign (2013), Dark Matter (2015), Heartland (2007) and Lost Girl (2010).
