Biography
Bruce Weiss is a film producer. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and began his career by raising finance for and producing the early feature films of director Hal Hartley, including The Unbelievable Truth (1989), Trust (1990) and Simple Men (1992).
He has produced or co-produced a number of other independent films, among them the screen adaptation of Sam Shepard's Curse of the Starving Class (1994), Side Streets (1998) and the English-language remakes Interview (2007), Blind Date (2007) and Somewhere Tonight (2011). Weiss is noted for his work in international co-production and finance.
