Biography
Bruno Nuytten is a French cinematographer and director. Born on 28 August 1945 in Melun, Seine-et-Marne, he trained at the INSAS film school in Belgium and the École Louis-Lumière in Paris.
He served as director of photography on films including India Song (1975), The Best Way to Walk (1976), Possession (1981), So Long, Stooge (1983), Jean de Florette (1986) and Manon of the Spring (1986). He later directed Camille Claudel (1988), for which he also wrote the screenplay; the film won the César Award for Best Film. He has taught at France's national film school La Fémis.
