Biography
William Burr McIntosh, also credited as Burr McIntosh, was an American actor. He began his career on the stage before moving into silent films, appearing in 53 films between 1914 and 1934.
His best-known role was as Squire Bartlett in D. W. Griffith's Way Down East (1920). He had earlier graduated from Lafayette College in 1884 and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. McIntosh had a varied career that also encompassed lecturing, photography and magazine publishing.
