Biography
Burt Sugarman is an American film and television producer. He was born on 4 January 1939 in Los Angeles, California.
Sugarman produced the films Kiss Me Goodbye (1982), Extremities (1986) and Children of a Lesser God (1986), and served as executive producer on Crimes of the Heart (1986). He created and produced the long-running music variety series The Midnight Special (1972–1981) and produced several game shows including The Wizard of Odds (1973–1974) and Whew! (1979–1980). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for Children of a Lesser God.
