Biography
Caitlin Parrish is an American playwright, television writer and filmmaker. She was born in Atlantic Beach, Florida, and studied at DePaul University, where she received a BFA in theatre studies, and at the University of Southern California, where she earned an MFA in screenwriting.
With frequent collaborator Erica Weiss she co-created the CBS series The Red Line (2019), on which she served as executive producer and writer. Her television writing credits include episodes of Emily Owens, M.D. (2012), Under the Dome (2013–2014), Supergirl (2015–2018), Foundation (2021–) and Twilight of the Gods (2024). She wrote the screenplay for the film G20 (2025). Her plays, created with Weiss, include A Twist of Water, The Downpour and The Burials. She co-directed the feature film The View from Tall (2016) with Weiss and received a Humanitas Award for her television pilot “Painkiller”.
