Biography
Camille Benda is a costume designer working in film, television, theatre and commercials. She holds an MFA in Theatre Design from Yale School of Drama and an MA from the Courtauld Institute in the History of Dress. She is on the faculty in costume design at the California Institute of the Arts.
Benda designed the costumes for both seasons of the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters (2022–2024). Her other design credits include the films The Last Manhunt (2022), The Quiet Ones (2014), Lilting (2014) and Cheerful Weather for the Wedding (2012). Earlier in her career she worked as assistant costume designer on V for Vendetta (2006), The Golden Compass (2007) and City of Ember (2008).
She is the author of the book Dressing the Resistance (Princeton Architectural Press, 2021) and has dual US and UK citizenship.
