Biography
Cándida Losada was an Argentine-Spanish actress. She was born in Buenos Aires on 9 March 1915 and died in Madrid on 2 March 1992.
She trained in the theatre under Margarita Xirgu and made her film debut in 1935. Losada appeared in supporting roles in Spanish cinema, including Tristana (1970) directed by Luis Buñuel, The House That Screamed (1969) and Voyage to Nowhere (1986). She was a frequent performer in TVE dramatic series such as Estudio 1 and Novela during the 1960s and 1970s, and maintained an extensive stage career.
