Biography
Carl Lee (born Carl Vincent Canegata) was an American actor and screenwriter. He was the son of actor and boxer Canada Lee.
Lee's early film work included an uncredited role in Human Desire (1954) and the part of Cowboy in the 1961 film adaptation of the play The Connection. He co-wrote the screenplay for The Cool World (1964) with Shirley Clarke and appeared in it as Priest. Other film roles included Carl in The Landlord (1970) and Eddie in Super Fly (1972). He provided an off-screen voice in Portrait of Jason (1967).
Lee also worked in television, with appearances in series such as The Defenders, Mannix and Good Times.
