Biography
Carl Winston was a writer and assistant director active in German and American cinema from the late 1920s onwards. He is credited with the English dialogue adaptation for The Blue Angel (1930), directed by Josef von Sternberg.
His other writing credits include the German films Heiße Ernte (1956) and Frauen sind für die Liebe da (1957). He also worked as an assistant director on titles such as Murder for Sale (1930), The Love Waltz (1930) and Her Grace Commands (1931), and as a production manager on A Blonde Dream (1932).
