Biography
Carlo Nell was a French actor, singer and humourist. Born Charles Maggio Bartolotta on 9 June 1926 in Ormont-Dessous, Switzerland, he appeared in more than seventy films and television productions, often in supporting roles in comedies and policiers.
He is known for his performances in Le Samouraï (1967) as Inspector #2, Le Chat (1971), César et Rosalie (1972) and several films in the Gendarme series directed by Jean Girault. He also recorded and performed as the singer Carlo de Paname.
Nell died on 7 February 2016 in Le Chesnay, Yvelines, France.
