Biography
Caroline Graham is an English novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, she studied with the Open University and received an MA in Writing for the Theatre from the University of Birmingham.
She is best known for the seven novels in her Chief Inspector Barnaby series, beginning with The Killings at Badger's Drift (1987) and concluding with A Ghost in the Machine (2004). The first five novels formed the basis of the early episodes of the ITV series Midsomer Murders (1997–), for which she is credited as creator. She has also written for the soap opera Crossroads and several radio plays.
