Biography

Casallina Cathy Kisakye is a Ugandan-American television writer. She began her career in script and continuity departments on series such as Melrose Place (2009–2010) and Cult (2013), before moving into writing.

Her writing credits include episodes of The Chi (2018–2019), Homecoming (2018–2020) and Little America (2020). In 2019 she created the pilot for the Showtime anthology series How to Make Love to a Black Woman (Who May Be Working Through Some Sht)*, executive produced by Lena Waithe.

Kisakye has also published short fiction, including work in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.
