Biography
Cathy Rosier was a French actress and model, also credited as Caty Rosier and Catherine Léro. Born on 2 January 1945 in Fort-de-France, Martinique, she was the daughter of politician and mathematics instructor Thélus Léro and writer and painter Yva Léro (née de Montaigne). She worked as a mannequin and speakerine before entering film.
Rosier is best known for her role as Valérie, the pianist, in Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Samouraï (1967). Other film credits include Rum Runners (1971) as Diana, Le Dernier Saut (1970) and Le Mataf (1973). She also released a musical album entitled Cathy Banana.
Rosier died on 17 May 2004 in Marrakech, Morocco.
