Biography
Catlin Adams, also credited as Nira Barab, is an American actress, director and acting coach. Born on 11 October 1950 in Los Angeles, California, she joined the Actors Studio at the age of 14 and later graduated from the American Film Institute. She is a founding member of the improv comedy group The Groundlings.
As an actress, Adams appeared in films including The Jerk (1979) as Patty Bernstein and The Jazz Singer (1980) as Rivka Rabinovitch, as well as television series such as Kojak and Adam-12. She directed an episode of the series Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1990. Her other directing credits include the feature film Sticky Fingers (1988), which she co-wrote and co-produced, and the Emmy-winning television film Wanted: The Perfect Guy (1986).
