Biography
Celeste Hughey is a screenwriter and producer. She graduated from New York University and worked as a coordinator at NBC News during the 2008 and 2010 elections before moving to Los Angeles. There she joined Maker Studios, where she helped launch its Fashion & Beauty vertical and developed content for various clients.
Her television writing credits include the Hulu series High Fidelity (2020), Netflix’s Dead to Me (2019–2022) and Apple TV+’s Palm Royale (2024). She created and serves as showrunner of the Peacock series The ’Burbs (2026), an adaptation of the 1989 film. Hughey is an Emmy-nominated writer.
