Biography
Chad Morton is a television writer. He was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware, and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he created and wrote the school’s first multi-camera Black sitcom, G.R.I.T.S. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles and worked his way up from production assistant to writer.
He is known for his work on the series Abbott Elementary (2021–), where he has served as writer’s assistant, staff writer and writer of individual episodes. He has also worked in the production department on Night Court (2023) and in production finance on the film What Death Leaves Behind (2018).
