Biography
Chantal Goya, born Chantal de Guerre on 10 June 1942 in Saigon, French Indochina, is a French singer and actress. She began her career in the mid-1960s as a yé-yé singer before appearing as Madeleine Zimmer in Jean-Luc Godard’s Masculin Féminin (1966).
Since 1975 she has been best known as a performer of children’s songs and shows, often collaborating with her husband, songwriter Jean-Jacques Debout. The couple married in 1966; she performs under the character name Marie-Rose.
