Biography
Charles Belcher was an American film actor. He appeared in seventeen films between 1919 and 1928, having begun his career on the stage in drama and comedy from 1907.
He is credited as The Holy Man in The Thief of Bagdad (1924), Balthazar in Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925), Philip in The King of Kings (1927) and Chief Passenger - Nobleman in The Black Pirate (1926). Other roles include appearances in several Douglas Fairbanks films such as The Mark of Zorro (1920) and The Three Musketeers (1921).
Belcher was born in San Francisco, California, and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, in 1943.
