Biography
Charles K. Gerrard (also credited as Charles Kavanagh, Charles K. Gerard and Charles Gerard) was an Irish-American actor. Born in Carlow, Ireland, he began appearing in silent films in 1916 and continued working in both silent and sound pictures until the mid-1930s.
He is known for his role as Martin in Dracula (1931) and for an uncredited part as Lord Leopold Ambrose Plumtree in the Laurel and Hardy short Another Fine Mess (1930). Other credits include Journey's End (1930) and Richard the Lion-Hearted (1923). He was the elder brother of actor and director Douglas Gerrard and also appeared on Broadway.
