Biography
Charles Leavitt is an American screenwriter. His screenwriting career began with The Sunchaser (1996) and The Mighty (1998). He wrote the screenplay for K-PAX (2001).
In 2004 Warner Bros. hired Leavitt to rewrite an early draft of what became Blood Diamond (2006). He researched the diamond industry extensively for the project. Leavitt's other credits include The Express (2008), Seventh Son (2014), In the Heart of the Sea (2015), Warcraft (2016) and Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021).
