Biography
Chef Milani (1892–1965) was an Italian-American actor and radio and television personality. Born Joseph L. Milani in Naples, Italy, he became known in Los Angeles for his cooking programmes, including 'Chef Milani' on KFWB radio and 'The Chef Milani Show' on KCOP-TV. During the Second World War he oversaw food services at the Hollywood Canteen.
He appeared in numerous Hollywood films between 1943 and 1946, usually in uncredited roles as chefs or restaurant staff. His credited screen role was as Giacomo Romari in The Seventh Victim (1943). Other films include To Have and Have Not (1944), Mr. Skeffington (1944), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and a cameo as himself in Hollywood Canteen (1944). He later appeared in an episode of the television series Hazel (1963).
