Biography
Cherie Bennett is an American writer, playwright and novelist. Born in Buffalo, New York, she studied musical theatre at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan. She began her career as an actress in regional theatre and national tours before turning to writing.
Bennett wrote for the television series Smallville in 2001–2002. She has also worked as a writer and breakdown writer on daytime soaps including The Young and the Restless (2006–2008), As the World Turns and Port Charles, and as a storyline consultant on Another World. Her other credits include the film Broken Bridges (2006). She has written numerous young adult novels, often in collaboration with Jeff Gottesfeld, and plays such as Anne Frank and Me.
