Biography
C. Chi-Yoon Chung is a Korean-American television editor and director. She emigrated from Korea to the United States at the age of five. After studying theatre and working as a dramaturge, she began her career in post-production as an assistant editor before moving into editing roles on series including Stalker (2014–2015) and Conviction (2016).
Chung edited eight episodes of American Crime Story (2016–2018), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Limited Series or Movie for the episode “The Race Card”. She has also edited on Feud (2017), Dopesick (2021) and multiple episodes of The Rookie (2018–).
As a director she has worked on episodes of The Rookie (2020–2024), Fire Country (2022), The Company You Keep (2023) and other series including Surfside Girls (2022) and The Cleaning Lady (2022).
